Iquitos, Peru - February, 2015

Our team consisted of Tony Gideon - pastor of First Baptist Church, East Bernard, Texas; Jason Martin - pastor of Calvary Baptist Association, Rosenberg, Texas; Isaac Horn, Rosenberg, Texas. Tony and Jason taught two classes in the World Hope Bible Institute series while Isaac led in the morning devotional times and prayer.

Iquitos, Peru - February 15 to 23, 2014

Starting Monday February 17, Scott Rambo (pastor of The Bridge Fellowship in Sugar Land, Texas) will be teaching for the World Hope Bible Institute in Iquitos, Peru. Scott will teach The Doctrine of Last Things and Biblical Worship. I will be teaching Missions/Evangelism and Chronological Bible Storytelling.

Lima & Iquitos, Peru - July 24 to August 2, 2013

July 24 to August 2, 2013 - Dennis Keen (pastor of West End Baptist Church in Industry, Texas) and I taught for the World Hope Bible Institute in Lima, Peru on Thursday July 25 to Saturday July 27. Dennis taught the class "Expository Preaching'. I taught "Ecclesiology (book of Titus)." We traveled to Iquitos, Peru on Saturday night July 27. We taught the same two classes on Monday July 29 to Wednesday July 31 for World Hope Bible Institute who is partnering with New Hope Amazon Ministries. There were over 40 adults in the Iquitos class. Belize, Central America May 2013

Sam Waltman (Associate Director of Missions for the San Felipe Baptist Association) and I spent four days with missionary Bob Farley of the Belize Training Center in Punta Gorda, Belize. We flew into Belize City and then visited Orangeway in the north, Belmapan the capital in the central area, Punta Gorda in the south and Placencia in the south central area . . . and everything between. We flew a single prop plane from Palcencia to Belize City and then on to Houston.

Iglesia Vida Abundante - San Jose, Costa Rica - February 2013

I went to San Jose, Costa Rica with Jon Davis (missions ministry associate) at Kingsland Baptist Church. I accompanied Jon as he was setting up a summer trip for 60+ students from Kingsland to work with pastor Rudy Corea and Iglesia Vida Abundante.

Iquitos and Lima, Peru - World Hope Bible Institute January 2013

I had the privilege of teaching the Biblical Interpretation (hermeneutics) class in Iquitos, Peru with the World Hope Bible Institute. Scott Rambo (pastor of The Bridge Fellowship in Sugar Land, Texas) taught the Doctrine of Salvation class. We had 56 pastors and church leaders from various church backgrounds. I taught for four hours each morning and Scott taught for four hours each afternoon. We taught for three days straight then caught a flight to Lima. We repeated the same schedule for three days more with close to 50 students. It was a great time but after six days straight, I was tired and ready to return to Houston.

Nauta, Peru Mission Trip - September 2012

As the Executive Director of the San Felipe Baptist Association, I lead a great team of 9 people (pastors and church leaders) to Nauta, Peru to train pastors and church leaders of the Baptist Association of churches in the Amazon Basin. We had the privilege of working with them for a week in the month of September 2012. We used the Bible storying cloth from the International Mission Board to study 16 stories chronologically in order to better understand God's story of redemption. Chronological Bible storying is a wonderful method of communicating God's redemption.

Our team consisted of seven pastors who each taught a small group of river pastors and church leaders. The theme was 'biblical interpretation.' We used the Gospel of John, chapters 1-6 for the week.
