The Matthew Affair is a 501c3 non-profit organization, which exists for the purpose to teach and to train underserved Christian pastors and church leaders around the world. It is estimated that 80-85% of the Christian pastors around the world do not have any training in basic Christian theology. Without such training, many of these underserved pastors will believe and follow any number of false teachers and false doctrines. The majority of Christian pastors will never have the opportunity to receive vital preparation for ministry unless someone takes it to them. We are committed to investing in others.
The name ‘Matthew’ was chosen because Christ's commission to His Church is found in the Gospel of Matthew 28:19-20, “go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”
The word ‘Affair’ was chosen because of its meaning. In the 1300's, the word 'affair' meant “what one has to do.” Affair has been defined as “anything to be done that requires action or effort.” It is also "a person's responsibility, work or activity, which is done for a purpose. An 'affair' is "something that must be attended to."
